Mentoring
The Center for Right Relationship has a deep commitment to mentorship. Working with a mentor is one of the most powerful and effective ways to move classroom learning into exemplary practice. There comes a time when you do not need another course or more learning. What you need is to work closely with a master professional.
While mentoring is a collaborative process that relies on the creativity and resourcefulness of the person being mentored, this doesn’t mean that you have to re-invent the wheel! What would it be like to start your business on the shoulders of someone who is already financially and professionally successful? What would it be like to learn from their mistakes rather than make them all over again?
Mentorship combines aspects of coaching, consulting and collegial connection to powerfully accelerate professional development. The mentor brings the full impact of his or her experience, wisdom and style for the benefit of the person being mentored. Mentors and their “apprentices” usually work together on specific areas of growth. Some common areas for mentoring are:
- Professional or market niche change, for example changing a psychotherapy practice to a coaching practice.
- Developing a systems coaching specialization for working with couples or teams.
- One-on-one support for new graduates of Relationship Systems Work™ or for those seeking to refresh or hone their skills.
- Honing facilitation skills by co-facilitating with your mentor.
- Workshop/curriculum design and follow-up.
- Team or community intervention design and follow-up.
